The American Booksellers Association is proud to continue and strengthen its partnership with BookExpo America. For the past 14 years ABA has held its annual convention at BEA. ABA members are encouraged to attend not only the trade show, but also the myriad special events sponsored by the association and its partners throughout the week of BEA.

Brooklyn Walking Tours

ABA opens registration for its walking tours of literary Brooklyn, a highlight of programming on Wednesday, May 30. The tours, each led by one of the borough's illustrious authors, will focus on the literary, the historic, and, in some cases, the gastronomic delights of this city within a city. Participation in each tour will be limited to 25 booksellers, and each is expected to fill up fast, so booksellers should register for tours as soon as possible and choose a first, second, and third option. Open to ABA bookstore members only.

ABA Education Program and Special Events Preview

ABA is holding its fifth annual Day of Education, sponsored by Baker & Taylor, at the Hotel ABA (New York Marriott at the Brooklyn Bridge) on Thursday, May 31. Although the event is free, you must pre-register as well as sign-up for the Breakfast and the Lunch. Open only to ABA Bookstore Members.

College Store Programming at ABA Day of Education

Sponsored by National Association of College Stores, this program will be offered concurrently with the ABA's Day of Education at Hotel ABA.

Programming for African-American Book Industry Professionals

Sponsored by African-American Booksellers Committee, this program will be held at the Jacob J. Javits Convention Center. Open to all BEA attendees.

Book Sense Author Lunch Reservations The luncheon, open exclusively to stores with Book Sense.
